Michele McKnight is an Associate at Zeff Law Firm. She began her legal career with Zeff Law Firm as a law clerk while attending Rutgers Law School and has since grown into her current role as an attorney. Through her years with the firm, she has developed extensive experience in employment discrimination, civil rights, and constitutional law. Michele assists in representing clients in both state and federal courts, handling cases involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, and violations of constitutional protections. Her time at Zeff Law Firm has allowed her to deepen her understanding of the complexities of workplace rights and government accountability while advocating for individuals whose civil rights have been violated.
Before joining Zeff Law Firm, Michele clerked with a Philadelphia-based firm where she strengthened her client relations skills and gained valuable experience managing active case files, communicating with clients, and assisting in all stages of litigation. She also gained hands-on advocacy experience with the Rutgers Housing Clinic, where she assisted tenants facing eviction in Burlington County. There, she learned the importance of client-centered advocacy and developed her commitment to using the law as a tool for fairness and protection.
Michele earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Camden, where she received the Rhona S. Rosenkrantz Scholarship and the Outstanding Oral Argument Award. As a CLiME Student Research Fellow, she contributed to projects focused on civil rights and inequality. While at Rutgers, Michele also served as President of OUTLaws, where she promoted inclusivity and spearheaded initiatives to support the LGBTQ+ student community and foster equity within the legal profession. Michele received her Bachelor of Political Science and Legal Studies, cum laude, from Drexel University.
